1. Create your account
In order to bid in an auction you’ll first need to set up an account. Follow our step-by-step account creation guide to assist you in this process.
What is needed to bid at auction?
2. Register for auction
This platform only offers online-only auctions, so there is no separate registration process. Placing a bid automatically registers you for that auction.
3. Purchase penny packages (if applicable)
For auctions conducted using Penny Bidding, participants must first purchase penny packages offered in predefined quantities and prices set by the platform. Without these packages, bids cannot be placed. Ensure you have an adequate number of pennies to participate in the auction.
4. Place your bids
Once bidding opens for an auction, enter the highest amount you're willing to bid for each item you’re interested in. The platform will then automatically increase bids on your behalf up to your set limit.
Each item’s bidding closes in one-minute intervals and, if a bid is made within the last minute, the closing time will extend by two minutes. Competitive bidding may extend an item’s closing by up to two hours.
5. Payment
Only credit card and bank transfers are accepted for payment. The total amount due will include the hammer price, local taxes, and premium courier service.
After the winners are announced, each winner will receive a payment link, which must be confirmed and finalized within 24 hours. Failure to complete the transaction within this timeframe will result in the winner being replaced by the next highest bidder.
6. Shipment
Ishin Altare's Post-Sale Services can handle secure, insured shipping and offer convenient delivery for your items. Shipping times vary based on factors such as the type and weight of the item, its value, the number of pieces, and the chosen delivery method and destination. Once payment is received, including any shipping fees, your item will be expertly packaged and prepared for shipment.
Currently, arranging your own carrier or collecting items in person is not an option, as in-person pick-up is temporarily unavailable.
This section outlines the key rules and processes governing auctions. These conditions ensure fair participation, transparency, and smooth transactions. Review the details carefully to understand how bids are placed, winners are determined, and payments are managed.
1. Automatically Declare the Highest Bidder as the Winner
The system will automatically identify and declare the highest bidder as the winner at the close of the auction. This ensures a smooth and fair process, where the lot is awarded to the participant with the highest valid bid.
2. Allow Single Invoice Payment for Multiple Wins
If you win multiple items in an auction, you will receive a single, combined invoice for all your purchases. This makes it easier for you to manage payments and complete the checkout process conveniently.
3. Restrict the Highest Bidder’s Bid (Prevent Duplicate Bidding)
Once you are the highest bidder, the system will prevent you from placing additional bids on the same item until another participant surpasses your bid. This ensures a fair bidding process and avoids unnecessary duplicate bids.
4. Next Highest Bidder Becomes the Winner (Within 3 Hours)
If the highest bidder fails to complete their purchase within 3 hours after the auction ends, the lot will automatically be awarded to the next highest bidder. This keeps the auction process efficient and fair for other participants.
5. Automatically Extend Auction Time (No Bids Received)
If no bids are placed on a lot before the auction’s scheduled end, the auction time will automatically be extended by 5 days. This gives participants more time to place their bids and ensures every lot has a fair chance of being sold.
6. Penny Bidding Requirements
For auctions conducted with Penny Bidding, participants must purchase penny packages before placing any bids. Each bid will consume one penny from the participant’s package and increase the lot's price by a fixed amount determined by the platform. Bids cannot be placed without an available penny package.
7. Cancellation Policy for Winning Bids
Winning bids cannot be canceled once declared, except in cases of system errors or verified fraudulent activity.
8. Payment Deadline for Winning Bids
Payments must be completed within 24 hours of winning. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the lot and transfer to the next highest bidder.
9. Auctioneer’s Discretion
The auctioneer reserves the right to adjust bidding increments or extend the auction time due to technical issues or at their discretion.
10. Condition of Business
All items are sold in their current condition. Please review the descriptions and images carefully before bidding.
11. Fees and Additional Charges
A buyer premium of predefined amount may be added to the final bid amount, along with applicable taxes and shipping fees
12. Shipping and Delivery Policies
Shipping fees are the seller's responsibility. Items will be shipped within 7 business days after payment is received
